The VMworld Content Catalog is now available to view. You can see it here and whether you’re a registered attendee or looking to see what’s on the schedule, the Content Catalog will help you get an idea of your schedule!

The catalog is to help you get an idea of the tracks and session types you may find interesting. This year with two ways to register for VMworld, free and a paid for, there will be differences in what you can register for depending on whether you chose to pay for the online event. There is also a schedule builder is where you will build out your own schedule; this will be made available to those that have registered for VMworld.

I have gone through the list of tracks a and courses both from the free and paid registration options and there is plenty to keep you busy, however, I thought I would offer some recommendations:
Network Focus:
  1. VCNC1260 – Deploy NSX-T Over a Cisco ACI Site
  2. VCNC1274 – Enabling Global Data Center Security Through NSX-T Federation
  3. VCNC1838 – Large Scale Design with NSX-T ( I always recommend Nimish’s sessions, he’s a very energetic and animated speaker)
  4. VCNC1150 – Migrating from NSX Data Center for vSphere to NSX-T
  5. VCNC1178 – NSX Federation: Everything about Network and Security for Multi-site
  6. VCNC1368 – Use Cases Based on End-to-End Design with NSX-T
Security Focus:
  1. ISNS1272 – Apply consistent security across VMs
  2. ISNS1099 - Deploy Modern Apps using VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0 and NSX 3.0 (this just seems like a good session that encompasses all our products and shows how to address today’s use cases)
  3. ISNS1931 IDS/IPS at the Granularity of a Workload
Hybrid Cloud Focus:
  1. HCP1155 – Accelerate your hybrid cloud journey with VMware Cloud on AWS what’s new
  2. HCP2515 – Application dependency maps – Where every migration begins
  3. HCI1954 – Best Practices: Deploy VMware Cloud Foundation in Large-Scale Environments
  4. HCP2557 – A practitioner’s guide to migrating workloads to VMware Cloud on AWS
Automation Focus: There are a few options on automation and containers – depending on your level I’d pick one of each of those as they are becoming more relevant.
  1. HCMB2254 – Automate IT process with vRealize Automation and vRealize Orchestrator
  2. VCNC1710 – Automating vRealize Network Insight
Digital Workspace Focus:
  1. DWDE1378 – Achieving password-less authentication today with Workspace One
  2. DWDHV1524 – Horizon Cloud Service on Microsoft Azure: Technical Deep Dive
  3. ISWS1611 – Unified Access Gateway deployment and security best practice
